Akshay Kumar's HOLIDAY release postponed

Written By Haider Afridi on Monday, 7 October 2013 | Filed in: Release Dates

Just now, it has been confirmed by Taran Adarsh that the release date of Akshay Kumar's Thuppaki Remake which is now titled as ' Holiday ' is postponed to 28th March, 2014. Earlier the movie was about to hit the silver screen on 10th January, 2014. Here is what Taran has tweeted.
Update: Vipul Shah's film, remake of #Thuppakki, directed by AR Murugadoss, will release on 28 March 2014. Stars Akshay Kumar and Sonakshi.
The reason for the postpone is unknown yet. But according to me, the reason can be Salman Khan's ' Jai Ho ' which is scheduled for 24th January, 2014. If ' Holiday ' releases on 10th January, it will have only two open weeks at the Box Office as Salman Khan's Jai Ho will take all the screen space.

So the decision is good. On the other hand, Sunny Leone's Ragini MMS 2 has replaced Holiday and it will now hit the screens on 10th January. Interestingly, now Aamir Khan's much anticipated movie Dhoom 3 will enjoy a whole month at the Box Office. Dhoom 3 releases on 20th December and the next biggie will be Salman's Jai Ho on 24th January which means Dhoom 3 will have a free run for 35 days.
