Mallika Sherawat receives 'threats' over Bhanwari Devi film

The sexy lady on the floor aka Mallika Sherawat is once again in the limelight. Sadly, this time her controversy is not the usual. This time round, she has reportedly received death threats for acting in the K.C. Bokadia directed film "Dirty Politics", that's based on contentious Bhanwari Devi case. "I have received threats. There was a call that my brother received, saying "tell your sister to stay away from this topic and from the film". I think these kinds of threats will be issued," Mallika told the reporters.
On whether the sensuous actress could do justice to this role, the director felt the "Murder" actress fits the bill for the role. "I don't think anyone else could have done this film. I think 5-10 years back when I had seen her performance in 'Murder' I had not thought I would work with her. This film required her and I am happy she is doing it."

Bhanwari Devi was a Rajasthan-based 36-year-old nurse who had gone missing from Jodhpur's Bilara area and later killed in the year 2011. This case became sensational because it included the names of almost seventeen people, including former Rajasthan Minister's Mahipal Maderna, amongst the accused.

Mallika's upcoming projects include Dirty Politics and Fauj Me Mauj.
