Interview with B-Town Hottie Evelyn Sharma

Written By Haider Afridi on Wednesday, 22 January 2014 | Filed in: Interviews

Best known as 'Lara' in Ayan Mukerji's Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani, alongside Ranbir Kapoor, under Karan Johar's banner Dharma Productions, Evelyn Sharma played a sexy ditz who wraps a most charming Ranbir around her little finger and stunned the audience with her sensuous performance of hit song Ooh La La. The film is blockbuster, having broken records at the box-office last year and Evelyn is on cloud nine, marking YJHD as her second hit movie after Rohan Sippy's Nautanki Saala opposite Ayushman Khurrana only a few weeks earlier!

Currently the 23-year-old half-German half-Indian supermodel-turned-actress is busy promoting her next film, T-Series’  Yaariyan, where she will be romancing Humse Hai Life teen heart-throb Himansh Kohli. She plays an angelic dream girl and will be seen donning a bikini for the first time in the sexy beach song Sunny Sunny with superstar Yo Yo Honey Singh for this fresh college movie, which happens to be the directorial debut of Super Cassettes icon Bhushan Kumar’s enterprising wife Divya Khosla Kumar.

Here is a candid chat with the hottie!

Considering you are half-German half-Indian, how tough was it get a foothold in Bollywood without a godfather?

-- I think there are many ways to bag a movie in Bollywood. A godfather of course is very helpful and lucky if you have one. But if you show talent and commitment at auditions you have the same chance to be launched into the film industry.

It’s been just a year in Bollywood and you already have your bag full of projects, how has your experience been so far?

-- It's been a roller coaster ride with many ups and downs! But I'm loving every moment of it!

How was it working with Divya Khosla Kumar making her directorial debut with Yaariyan?

-- Working with Divyaji was lovely. She's such a charming person and very focused about what she wants!

How was your experience working with debutant co-stars in the film? Who is your favourite amongst the lot?

-- It was a great experience shooting with all newcomers after I had shot for a few other films. All of them are interesting characters, but my favourite is Serah Singh! She has become a very dear friend to me!

Any memorable incident on the sets of Yaariyan?

-- With so many young people shooting for their first film, you can't imagine how much fun, drama and gossip can happen on one set.

You are seen doing bikini scenes in Yaariyan. How comfortable are you in bikinis? ( By the way, you looked HOT :-)

-- haha thanks :D I love to wear bikinis to the beach and pool! But once I'm out of the water I think it need some more styling with a sarong or maybe a sheer top!

What were your ambitions as a child? Was being in Bollywood part of it?

-- I always loved acting. I did theatre and a movie when I lived in Germany, but it was out of passion. I never would have imagined that one day it could become my full time profession.

Did you have to struggle when you came over from modeling to acting? How has the journey been?

-- It's a completely different life style. As a model you live from day-to-day assignments and also make money that way. As an actor you work for months on one project and have no extra income when you start out. So you must have some back-up financially, else you will struggle a lot.

What is the craziest/most fun thing you have ever done?

-- When I grew up in German we used to go swimming in the lakes at night! Now thinking back, that was a pretty crazy time!

Did you face any problem with your accent in the starting days of struggle? Are you taking any Hindi lessons during shoots and how difficult do you find it to speak the language?

-- Of course it is always difficult to learn and get used to a new language, but it's really all about practice and with time it becomes easier. Now I feel very comfortable while learning my scripts and acting scenes in hindi.

What attracted you the most in Bollywood?

-- I love Bollywood for it's drama and music! There is really no other film industry like Bollywood!

Who is your favourite Khan – Shahrukh, Salman or Aamir Khan?

-- After seeing Dhoom 3 - Aamir Khan!

What movie do you watch again and again?

-- KKKG!

If not an actor or a model, what would Evelyn be?

-- an actor :D

How did you feel when you were facing the camera for the first time?

-- I was terribly nervous and did not know what to do! Haha now I feel so comfortable in front of the camera, it's been a long way!

What has been your happiest moment so far?

-- The day people loved my role in Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani!

How different is Evelyn Sharma in real and reel life?

-- On screen I play different characters who are completely different from my real self. Of course a little bit of myself is always included, but personally I am very chilled out and easy going person.

What are your dreams and ambitions? Any unfulfilled dreams?

-- My dream is to have a house with garden, a puppy, husband and kids.

What question do you hate most? Why?

-- "what's up?"

Tell us one thing not many know about you

-- I could wear pink pyjamas for the rest of my life!

Do you believe in love at first sight? Or its just lust at first sight?

-- it's never happened to me... But I'm sure it could be real!

What is your idea of a perfect date? Any dream man you want to go along with ( Including Me :P )?

-- I am a very romantic girl... So if you take me for a candle light dinner, dance with me under the stars, and be a total gentleman, I may just fall in love with you!

Who is the hottest man in your life?

-- my best friend...

Message for your Fans ?

-- I love you all!!!

Here are some spicy hot and sexy wallpapers of Evelyn Sharma including the hot Pink Bikini act from Yaarian.

Interview: Hollywood Star David Hasselhoff Talks About Salman Khan!

Written By Sidharth Banerjee on Wednesday, 8 January 2014 | Filed in: Interviews

David Michael Hasselhoff is an American actor, singer, producer, and businessman. He is best known for his lead roles as Michael Knight in the popular 1980s US series Knight Rider and as L.A. County Lifeguard Mitch Buchannon in the series Baywatch. He recently said that he would like to do a movie with Salman Khan and so we got in touch with him.

Here are the excerpts from the conversation.

So David how has your life been recently?
Well, my life has been very good for a long time now. Even now I am doing great, I am playing Captain Hook in a Peter Pan play, I am working on developing Knight Rider as a movie, I am working on developing Baywatch as a musical, we are having a great time here in the UK with a new television series that we are working on based on my life. But more importantly I have been working on a movie called Killing Hasslehof which is being produced by Ashok Amritraj who runs High Park Entertainment. We are very close to going into production for that. I was almost certain to come to India for the Indian Grand Prix but that didn't happen for some reason, but I am really hopeful about coming there soon.

Well, the world knows you as Mr Baywatch or The Knightrider but how has the life of the real David Hasslehoff been so far?
It has been great actually. I have my daughters coming over to my place to spend their holidays, I have a beautiful girl friend. What else do you want?

You recently tweeted that you saw Dabangg 2 and that you appreciate crossover cinema like Slumdog Millionaire, so would you also like to be a part of such movies?
Certainly I would love to do such a film. In fact it was I who said that I would love to work with Salman Khan if given a chance and have been looking to get in touch with his representatives. I never view this industry as something that is restricted to one particular nation only. Baywatch is being watched and loved all over the world. Even in Iraq and Afghanistan.

How has your experience been with reality shows?
Well, I did participate in Dancing with the stars once, then I enjoyed being the judge at Britain's Got Talent for a season and now I am on my way to doing a Swedish talk show and then I am going back to Los Angles.

Any message for all you fans in India?
Keep smiling, I hope you see me in a bollywood movie. I will be in India soon and I really appreciate all the support I have received from my Indian fans.

Chennai Express had collected 8.2 Million Dollars ( 50.8 Crore ) in first weekend.

Also Dhoom 3 has beaten the lifetime overseas business of Krrish 3 in just three days. Indicine reports:
What should also not be forgotten is the fact that, Dhoom 3 released during the ‘Pre-Christmas’ period which is considered to be dull for films released in countries like USA, Canada, UK and Australia. Also, the ‘Eid’ period when Chennai Express released is huge in countries like UAE/GCC and Pakistan.
Dhoom 3 has also beaten the lifetime overseas business of Krrish 3 in just 3 days. The film could go on to cross Rs 100 crore in the overseas markets by the end of Week 1 and could beat the total collections of Chennai Express in its second weekend.
It is also likely to gross more than 3 Idiots (currently the biggest grosser) and My Name Is Khan, to set new benchmarks in the international business. What remains to be seen is if Dhoom 3 can cross the Rs 150 crore mark, which no film has managed to do so far.
Dhoom 3 has grossed more than 200 crore Worldwide in just 3 days ...... Read the detailed overseas report.

Sapna Pabbi Interview - 24 Wrap Up!

Written By Sidharth Banerjee on Wednesday, 18 December 2013 | Filed in: Interviews

At a time when our entertainment industry, be it television or cinema is being repetitive, with hackneyed plots and uninteresting characters, Anil Kapoor has taken a great step by buying the rights of a superb American t.v. show named 24 and making it in a style that would suit the Indian scenario. Already high on the acclaim meter, 24 airs on weekdays and is heading towards its season finale.
I recently got the opportunity to interview Sapna Pabbi , who plays one of the main characters of the series, that is, the role of Anil Kapoor's daughter again, now that the shooting for the first season is over. Born and brought up in London, Sapna has already done some modelling assignments.

To be honest, among all the new bees that I have interviewed recently, she seems to be the most promising of the lot.

Now that the shooting's over, how is the response that you are getting for 24?
Well, the response is so overwhelming, last time also I told you know, that it is so lovely. I get so many messages on twitter and on my phone that I don't know what to say. All I do is blush!(laughs)

Compared to the initial episodes, you too look at ease on camera. So, what change do you think you have gone through during the entire season?
Well, on the last day of the shoot Abhinay(The director) was like 'Bravo! That was superb' and again 'It was superb!'. He said that after every shot! And I was so overwhelmed by that because he hadn't said anything like that throughout the entire shooting. I was like a wish come true for me and I was actually about to cry. It was like a pat on the back. So, yeah I think initially I was nervous but then gradually I have improved!

You look really pretty in that Galaxy Chocolate Ad as well, so how was that experience?
It was a very new experience. We have been shooting for 24 since February, and everyday when you come in you know exactly what you are doing, what you are supposed to wear, you know the dialogues you have to say, you know you make up and it is a little different for an ad because the shoot is of very little time and new get to say and do different things than your usual stuff. The environment is different but it was very pleasant, and I got to eat a lot of chocolates, and Galaxy is my favourite chocolate!

Any idea about when the season 2 shooting would start?
Honestly, I don't know. But I do know that we have been shooting for almost 6 and a half months, i.e., 189 days! So I guess everbody is in the mood for a break at the moment. But, I guess the shooting would begin in a few months.

So, you have been living in Mumbai for sometime now, so what do you think is the best part about living in Mumbai?
Well, I think the best part about Mumbai is that it is very safe! I can go out alone whenever and whereever I want, even a night and not be really scared. And it is very chilled out! You see celebraties just walking on the streets.

You must be enjoying your newly acquired fan following as well.
Of course, I am! And I am really thankful to all my fans who have given me so much love and appreciated me throughout 24. All the time I am like blush, blush, blush! Haha!

So what about your future projects?
Well, I would be doing some more advertisements soon!
